Caroline Ragsdale Reutter, a native of Lake City, South Carolina served a traditional 7-Layer Caramel cake at her youngest sons christening over 25 years ago. Soon, friends were begging Caroline for her divine cake and word spread. It spread so far that in April of 1999, a Florida corporation called Caroline and asked if she would ship 2000 cakes to their customers that Holiday Season. It's been a great roller coaster ride ever since!

Now, Caroline is president of Caroline's Cakes, a mail order company that ships not only her delicious 7-Layer Caramel cake, but a selection of other classic Southern Favorites. With her background in Interior Design, Caroline took her love of decorating and opened a store front in Annapolis with retail items and decorated cakes.
 In 2008, Caroline took her retail virtual and started her first Retail site.

Shortly after the bakery opened in 2003, the opportunity came up to open a deli, and soon Caroline's Gourmet was born. Located two doors down from the Bakery, Caroline's Gourmet began selling traditional Southern Comfort foods as well as lunches and catering. And as was the case with the Bakery, the gourmet side went to the web, and Caroline's Gourmet began selling its delicious Southern comfort foods via the internet.

So what does the future hold for Caroline's? Keep checking back as we hope to have new items up all the time, from quaint gifts to delectable treats, there is always something new at Caroline's!
