We at Caroline's Gourmet / A Tradition of Taste take great pride in ensuring your order is packaged and shipped in perfect condition. Each order is handled with extreme care at each step and shipped to ensure it arrives on time and in perfect condition. Due to the perishable nature of some of our products, you may receive separate shipments.

Shipping Guidelines:

  • All packages are shipped via UPS either ground or 2nd Day Air. Due to the perishable nature of some of our products and the long transit times, All states west of the Rockies are shipped via 2nd Day Air (excepting North and South Dakota, they are shipped with 2nd Day Air). Some items will ship via Next Day Air, which will incur additional handling charges in your order. This includes any meat or seafood products. 
  • We charge shipping based upon the total weight of the package and the shipping Zip Code.
  • We currently ship to all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. At this time we do not ship outside of the US, to any US Territory, or any APO/ FPO. 
  • We will not ship to any P.O. Box as UPS will not deliver to these locations. Any order submitted with a PO Box for shipping will be held until we can obtain a valid shipping address. 
  • We cannot be responsible for shipments which arrive late or not at all due to any of the following:
    • Incorrect or Incomplete addresses (including shipping to names not listed with that address)
    • Weather related delays
    • Conditions beyond our control
    • Delays during major holidays
  • All of our packages ship with the designation SHIPPER RELEASE. This means that the UPS driver can leave the package without obtaining a signature. However, we cannot be responsible for packages that are delayed and not left due to Signature Requirement. Some areas have been designated by UPS as "High Risk". This typically includes apartments where there is no office or doorman, closed businesses or those with no receiving or reception area, areas where theft or damage has been an issue in the past, or in some remote areas where wildlife may "run off" with the package. 
  • We cannot be held responsible for packages sent to a recipient when they are out of town or not able to receive the package. Please ensure your recipient is aware of the shipment and able to receive it. 
  • Please inspect your package upon arrival. If there is any physical damage, please give us a call at 888-801-2253 within 14 days of arrival. We cannot guarantee any refunds or replacements after the 14 day period.

Perishable items:

  • Perishable items must arrive within 3 days of shipment. We only ship perishables Monday - Wednesday. We may choose to ship over the weekend, but only at our discretion. We cannot make any guarantees for Monday Delivery. Monday delivery is not available between May 1st and September 30th.
  • If you wish for Saturday delivery, you must call your order in to us at 888-801-2253. Not all areas of the US are eligible for Saturday delivery, and there is a higher charge associated with Saturdays. We do not guarantee Saturday arrivals.
  • There is no delivery on Sundays as UPS is closed that day.
  • During the holidays we may try and ship your package early to ensure arrival on time. Often during the holidays, UPS is closed or is running limited services and as such we must adjust our shipments for these times. Please be aware we cannot guarantee the exact arrival day between Dec 15- Jan 2. 

Problems:

  • If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please give us a call at 888-801-2253 within 14 days of receipt. If the item was damaged during shipping, please retain all packaging and the item if possible as UPS may decide to pick up the item for inspection. We will make arrangements if this is the case.
  • We cannot accept returns of any food item.
  • Caroline's Inc. cannot be held responsible for food items damaged or spoiled from failure to follow instructions. All food item boxes which require refrigeration or freezing have PERISHABLE and REFRIGERATE or FREEZE UPON ARRIVAL stickers in plain view on the boxes.
